Lithuania, situated on the Baltic Sea, shares borders with Russia, Poland, Belarus, and Latvia. This country boasts a rich history dating back to the 13th century and, in the 15th century, was the largest state in Europe by territory. Today, Lithuania is a member of both the EU and NATO, with a semi-presidential democracy and a unicameral parliament (the Seimas).
